Briefly reported the planned agenda and the contents of the Conference; the purpose and significance of the hosting the Conference by Vietnam, the NA Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Vu Hai Ha, the Vice Chief of the Organizing Committee said that the Conference will take place from 14^th to 17^th September, 2023  will be an important forum for the Vietnamese young parliamentarians and the young generation have a chance to exchange, learn and inspire with more than 300 parliamentarians from different countries in the world. Participating in the activities of the Conference, the delegates will have opportunities to build relations and networks with the young people, parliamentarians and young leaderships from all over the world; to broaden global vision, explore new aspects, and get deeper understanding of the global issues.

On the Conference Agenda, in 14^th September, 2023 the Conference will hold a talks on "Strengthening the Digital Capacity for the Youth"; open the Exhibition on Innovations Achievements and OCOP products. In 15^th September, 2023 the Conference will have the Inauguration Session; the Discussion Sessions on Digital Transformations on Innovations and Start-ups. In 16^th September, 2023 the Conference will hold the 3^rd Discussion Session on Enhancing the Respects of Culture Diversity for Sustainable Development. On this occasion, in 17^th September, 2023 the Organizing Committee will arrange a tour visit to Ha Long Bay for the delegates to introduce the beautiful landscape which was recognized by UNESCO as the world natural heritage as well as development achievements of Vietnam country.

On the contents of the Conference, the NA Foreign Affairs Chairman stated that the discussion session on digital transformation, the delegates will exchange opinions on the completion of institutions and policies in accelerating the digital transformation process with the aim to strengthen opportunities for the sustainable development; share experiences of the Parliaments in the law-making; monitoring and the role of the young parliamentarians in order to further the digital transformation in 4^th Industrial Revolution; share the achievements recorded in the digitalization of the parliaments' activities for the sustainable development cause. Additionally, the participants will propose solutions to policies to completing the institutions; reforming and piloting new  models; and deploying new applications and digital platforms; accelerating the digital transformation; and popularizing the digital connectivity; enhancing awareness of the digital technology, digital culture, digital skills for citizens; narrowing the digital divide; and ensuring the access of digital technologies in equitable manner towards the 'no one is left behind' target in the digital environment for the sustainable development.

At the Discussion Session of Innovations and Start-ups, the delegates will discuss the main issues such as the completion of institutions and policies in accelerating innovations and start-ups (including the start-ups of the youth) as a drive for the inclusive and sustainable development, combining the food tech; share experiences of member parliaments in the law-making; monitor; and the role of the young  parliamentarians to promote innovations and start-ups; exchange and discuss the developments of AI that contributes to the process of achieving the SDGs; propose the parliaments on the policies and solutions to building, completing the institutions, policies to minimize the risks related to the AI.

At the discussion session on Enhancing the Respects of Culture Diversity for the Sustainable Development, the delegates will discuss the role of the parliaments and young parliamentarians in enhancing the respects to the culture diversity in the context of the technological transformation and globalization such as digital cooperation based on the ethics and minimizing the unwanted risks of the digital transformation to the privacy, security and happiness; perform the role of culture in the development policies at national, regional and international levels; commit to preserving and performing the culture diversity; creating environment and enabling ecosystem for culture and culture diversity; the role of culture and culture diversity in the sustainable development.

On the purpose and significance of the hosting the Conference by Vietnam, the NA Foreign Affairs Chairman Vu Hai Ha said that this will be an important and significant foreign affairs event that affirms the active, proactive and responsible participation of Vietnam in the IPU – the world largest inter-parliaments organization; at the same time proves the attention and interests of Vietnam to the youth and the global issues the young people. The Conference is also a practical activity to implement the Resolution No 25 CT/TW of the Party Secretariat of the Communist Central Committee, the legislature XII on Accelerating and Enhancing the multilateral relations by 2030 and the Strategy of  the Vietnamese Youth Development, the 2021-2030 period. The Conference will be an opportunity to introduce to the international friends the cultural traditions of Vietnam, the country and its people, the foreign policies and the outcomes of social economic developments of the country; an opportunity to strengthen the foreign relations between Vietnam and the important partners.

At the event, the representatives of the Organizing Committee answered the questions raised by the reporters on the preparations, conditions, the contents of discussion and participations of international friends and related activities to the Conference.

Concluded the news conference, the NA Secretary General, the NA Office Chairman Bui Van Cuong, the Chief of the Organizing Committee stated that the Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians will be the largest event ever with the profound and practical themes; the exciting and diversified activities to prove the great concerns of the Party and State to the young people. The Party and State of Vietnam always appreciate the role of the youth in developing the nation and building a peaceful and prosperous world; and fixing the global challenges. The Conference also proves the role and the special strengths of the youth organizations of Vietnam.

He stated that with the attentive concerns of the top leaders, the preparations work on the contents and conditions for the success of the Conference in terms of the information. Propaganda, security, health and logistics are well prepared in a comprehensive manner. So far, the preparations work has fundamentally been completed and the Organizing Committee is ready for organizing successfully 9^th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians.
